From Fury 3 to Fury 4 typical P2P adjustments?

Going from a 26 Fury 3 to a 25 Fury 4 on a '14 Puma with 2S 250 Pro XS. I have been running 3" P2P on the 26 Fury 3. Does the Fury 4 typically like to run higher (smaller P2P), and if so how much? 72-73 WOT today with the Fury 4, more lift, better mid-range acceleration, better bite, hole shot about the same, minimum planing speed about the same. I've seen 78 with the Fury 3 with a little more left, but under different conditions, so probably not that applicable comparing speeds.

The Fury 4 seems to lose about 2-3 mph as compared to the Fury 3 of same pitch. I found the 4 blade does better raising the JP about a 1/4 inch or slightly more. Let steering torque be the final JP height deciding factor.

You should try a Fury 4 in a 26P and see if you can turn it. I was really surprised to find out my PII can do it and it really handles so nice! I can get a little more top end out of the Fury 3 in a 26P, but I just like the way the four blade handles...and I haven't touched the jack plate yet either.

17 PUMA ftd. poles 4 batteries. 112 fortrex. I was getting 76 @ 5700-5800 with my worked 25p /3 blade. I do not have a hydraulic jp but I have been told to run the 4 blade fury slightly lower. Someone mentioned steering torque, I can really feel mine stiffen up around 70 with the 25/4 blade. I dont run fast in the summer no need for it with logs and traffic on my lakes. Ive seen about 73-74. I will add, my mpg went from 3.2-4.2, to 4.6-5.0 with just me and empty livewells can really save some fuel crusing speeds around 48-50 mph

I also noticed it didn't take much raising of the JP to get a lot of steering TQ with the Fury 4. I moved mine up just a little over a 1/4 inch and it was enough.

Everyone in a puma I talked with said theirs liked about 3.5" p2p. Im at 3" p2p right now. Might be different on the p2.
