    My z8 ultrex solution

Works great too, steering cord with all that crap on it flops right up and over the sonar by its self without help, down I need to flip it over the humminbird.

After 22 months one corner of the bow panel cracked some, just enough to relieve the stress from me over tightening it into the bow padded carpet. Had I not over tightened that one it would be 100% still.

as far as the garmin 9" screen it is still mounted on the cutting board and has been without incident since the start, I am constantly in rough water pushing the limits of the boat and everything attached to it. Even today I had waves coming over the bow while fishing and then hit the gas up to 50 or so.

After I got it fabbed up I drilled out the plastic so the screws were sloppy loose , this allows me to find the hole in the fiberglass much easier.
