When motor warms and at idle speed the motor make missing type sound sometimes, then just cut off. Has gotten worse since last fall. Runs fine once I am able to get in to gear with out cutting out. No loss of speed. Carb rebuild or something else? The motor has had the same missing type noise since I bought it 18 years ago. But never started cutting out till last fall and worse this spring. I had a 30hp Evinrude which acted similar and turned out the timing was off.
