2007 Sabre (standard, not FTD). 6” plate and 175 Pro XS. PTP is right at 4.00” with a 25 pitch Fury 3.

Different props and motors may require different PTP measurements.

Listen to Adchunts. I tried all kinds of settings on my old Sabre FTD including putting scoops on and jacking it way up. My Fury liked to run deep. I ended up about 1/8” over level plates.

I’ve got an ‘18 with 175 Pro XS. I’m like Aaron, and I run all my props at 3 7/8”. 24 Fury, 25 Tempest, and 26 Bravo 1xs. The choppy to rough water ride is way better lower, and so is the overall handling. I lose .3-.5 mph on top end with any of these props compared to 3 1/2 PTP, but the choppy ride at 3 7/8 on the bigger lakes I fish is the deal. All of these props basically drive themselves at this height. I can run the 24 Fury to 68.5 without a care, then 69.5 (1/2 fuel) with a couple of taps of the trim every 3-4 seconds apart. The Tempest and Bravo don’t walk at all on my boat. I carry all my tackle up front.

Thanks all, I was just curious if I was the only one that was seeing the best results at 4”. Thanks again.
