Question on E-Tec G2 150HO Fuel Filter Change

I just changed both the in-line filter (250 micron) and water separating fuel filter (10 micron) on my 18’ G2 150HO. Without a fuel line bulb on these is there anything special I need to do to insure the fuel system primes or just turn the key and go?

The procedure is just to let the electric fuel pump prime the system.

There is a specific procedure for installing the spin on filter for a G2, spin on the filter until it contacts the housing then tighten an additional 2/3 turn. It will tighten more then that and if you do can warp the housing, so if you were unaware of this procedure and may have over tightened the filter keep an eye out for leaking fuel the first few times out especially when it gets hot outside and the engine gets up to temperature. If you do have a problem warranty generally covers this.

It is best to fill each filter with clean fuel. Electric pumps heat up and wear quickly when run dry for long periods. I use a temporarily attached primer ball to fill the fuel system on new rigs and when servicing them.
