Installing depth finder at bow. Need insight!!

How did you guys run the power cord for your FF on the bow? Straight run to the battery or spliced somewhere? Ive read somewhere that there's already a wire under the panel on the bow specifically there for a FF. Is this correct? My boat is 2019 Pro Team 190. Thanks!!

I used the existing wiring located behind the panel at the bow on my 2017 Pro Team 190tx. It is simply a two conductor wire with preinstalled crimp connectors. You may have to look for it as it can drop down out of sight. I have seen a lot of recommendations to NOT use this wiring rather to connect straight to the battery but it has worked fine for me as I have had no issues. This is a hot connection and is not connected to the Accessory switch so you must remember to power down your FF.

My 2011 PT175TF came with a blueseas fuse pannel at the console, I fished a new pair of wires from there to the bow.

The existing wire was hidden on mine. I found it after I ran a new wire. I ran a 10 gauge wire from the console fuse block to another small fuse block that I mounted under the cover that has the TM plug and trim switch on it. I then wired the two front depthfinders to that fuse block.

Yep, I thought I was going to be in the same scenario you were until I started searching the forum. My 2018 195 had wires already ran from the factory. They were right behind the trim/TM plug hanging out of the same cable jacket. Plug and play and saved me a bunch of time.
