Unhappy Wishing I was fishing as planned.

But the delivery person for USPS screwed that up.
Had a package of reels coming through them. I was home and heard the jeep pull up. Reached over to grab shoes to slide on. Go out, and mail carrier is gone. Never came through my gate or knocked at my door.
Go to the mail box, grab my mail and aslip from the USPS saying Sorry we missed you while you were out. And had checked, No authorized recipient available.
If the lazy no good idiot would have got out of the jeep, I would be fishing like planned this morning.
Instead I will be at the post office at 9:30.
Last Friday they dropped my Academy Sports delivery off at another address, which is a common thing for these idiots. Has happened a couple times in the past couple months. But Academy Sports must have more pull than me, because they get results and get USPS to pick the package up, and get it to the correct address the next day.
When I try and get them to do that, I never receive the product that was miss delivered. And USPS worker says they couldn't retrieve them. If they hire people who can read a address and comprehended when they are not at that address. I ain't out fishing like I wanted to be, so figured I'd share my rant. UPS girl didn't have a issue getting my package here yesterday.
Ok, y'all be safe and have a great day.

I keep having a very similar problem with the Amazon delivery driver around here.

They deliver the package just fine, but they check "Your package was delivered. It was handed directly to a resident" on the delivery invoice.

The problem here, is they are just leaving the delivery on my doorstep.......no one is home. I live alone, and I am usually at work from 0500 till sometimes 1700, but the packages are being delivered mid morning.

They do this, so if I call and say I didn't get it, they can claim they handed it directly to me....basically lying to cover their butt if a dispute comes up over delivery.

They also stopped taking pics of the items delivered like they use to.

I have called Amazon about this numerous times, but they still seem to do it. I still get my packages (so far), but it worries me if some porch pirate steals something and I call them about the missing item.

Not that it is an excuse for not getting your stuff but you don’t have any reels to go fishing?

You have a lazy carrier. Call the Post office and ask for the supervisor. Explain the issue, they will reprimand the LC, and may have them bring you back the box.

I need to get these so they don't get miss delivered, like other packages. I only have 60 or so other reels I could use, but don't want these to get lost like other packages do with them.

    World problems

I must be the most fortunate person, My mail lady never screws up, My UPS guy treats my stuff right, FEDEX delivers several times a week and most the time he will walk down the drive and put packages on the covered deck. He even two wheeled a Park-It 360 power mover 85 ft and put it in my garage.
Even my garbage guys are great. I removed about 750 sq. Ft. Of laminate flooring last month. I bundled nine 4’ pieces together and stacked them on a furniture mover from Harbor Freight. Two consecutive Mondays they took all of it. This is city garbage, not a private firm.

Small things like like a cold bottle of water on a hot day, Christmas card with a $20 bill, and up here—- making sure my driveway and sidewalk is snow and ice free go a long way with delivery people, and a few have comment on it.

Yep. Lazy! Won't even shut the lid sometime and my mail gets wet, even though I wrote a note on the lid.

My brother had a rural route carrier that was extra lazy. The mailbox was at the street and the house was about 1000' up the driveway. If there was a package, he would honk and throw it up the driveway from his seat at the road. Watched him do it twice while I was standing out there at the rear of the drive. Mine seem to be doing ok for now. The mail either comes at noon of 1700.

I've been pretty fortunate. Between ordering race car parts and fishing/boating equipment for 30 years, I've had only a couple of issues with delivery.

Well it’s friggin windy here and when the wind will die down in a couple of days it then is suppose to be in the tripple digits. Too hot to fish.

USPS is not good around here either. Many times our mail goes to one of the neighbors on either side of us. We just walk over and exchange mail several times a year. We are on a rural route, seems we seldom ever have the same person deliver mail to us twice. I've contacted the post office several times, we will get better service for a couple of months, then its back to the same old, same old. UPS is very good here as is FedX.
