2019 200 pro xs v8 RPM issue
I have a new TRX 18 Triton with the 200 Pro XS v8 2B530569, Mercury 3 blade fury prop, 24 Pitch. Motor will only turn 5100 rpm trimed out. Took it back to dealer and they checked it on computer. Says it putting out 99%. Anyone else with this problem, or any advice? My old 97 150 Johnson would turn a 23p 6000.

Too much pitch and probably the motor is too low. The gear ratio may be different from the old motor. I’d try a 20p on it

Agree. May be too much prop. I know Mercury is matching 24 furys on the 250. I am running a 24 on my 250 and it runs great.

I raised the motor 1 inch. The dealer is going to swap me props. Thanks for your inputs.

Id drop it down to a 20 or 21 and go from there

If you would, please review the announcements at the top of the Forum, and provide the Required Info with your post. Thanks!
Definitely try a lower pitch propeller- and if possible, have the dealer run the engine with G3-2019 connected (to monitor for prop and setup suitability).

Different boat but i set mine at 2.5 ptp and running a 23 fury on my 200 v8.Not hitting the 6200 max but it consistently hits 5900 rpms. Which according to the manual is within spec 5900-6200 since the water has warmed back up I'm at 650 ft above sea level runs 66 mph when the water was colder it was running 68 mph on my 20ft nitro.

Dropped from the 24 fury to a 22 tempest plus per Triton rep. Raised motor from 4.5" ptp to 3.5 got rpms to 5700, raised motor another .5" but havent ran it yet. Will still hit 65 mph but chine walks very bad, holds steady at 62 mph.

Same boat and same results except seeing a little better performance with the 22 tempest plus. Sent you a pm.
