St clair June 26-28 fishing

I will be coming up the last week of June. Just trying to get a idea on what to expect when i get there. What techniques and depth range are the smallmouth on around that time. I came up there last yr in late July and had to drop shot 17-19 fow the whole time to get bit, it was fun still but drop shotting isn't my fav thing to do. Should I be able to find good numbers still up shallow this time? Thanks

With the way our weather has been I think they will still be relatively shallow and for the most part post spawn. Everything is late due to colder than normal temps and tons of rain. We just got hammered with rain again today. Saw a video of 2 kids canoeing down Jefferson north of 12 mile.
