    Black Lake/St. Lawrence?

A friend and I are going to be fishing Black lake & St. Lawrence river from June 15 - 20th. I have a couple of questions maybe you guys could help me out with. Will the spawn be on or will it be post spawn? What fishing technique should I be setting up my rods?

    Thanks for any advice.

    Mike

Ad gar as set up goes it all depends if black lake or st lawrence 2 very different places. Spawn will be on on st lawrence good bet it will be post spawn on black lake however this is a funny year with colder then normal water temps for this time of year.

I’d say black lake would be in all 3 stages of spawn. Canadarago lake out in Richfield springs had a surface temp of 59-62 last Saturday and it’s been cold all week. Black tends to be warmer than the 1000 islands but with this cold weather everything is delayed by 2-3weeks. Atleast for the lakes I hit this year. Some don’t even have weeds growing yet.

I was at a lake last week surface temp was 57.5 normally this time of year bout 8 degrees warmer. everything is behind, black lake is warmer yes as the lake is pretty much no deeper then 15 feet in a majority of it.
