Mercury Controls Tilt/trim switch

Hello all , I have a 1995 mercury 150hp xr6. The tilt trim switch in the controls has stopped working. It works on the motor and up on my deck so tilt and trim is working properly. Is there a easy way to check to make sure the switch is bad and if it is how do I know exactly what switch to buy for it? Also how hard is it to change out? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Probably a picture of the control or a description of it would help. If the other switches work then it’s either the switch or wiring to the switch. I replaced mine but it broke the bezel getting it off but some glue fixed that.
