It's Houston. I've got a library full of funny stuff I've seen driving around that chaos.

Porthouse was **this close to having him run a champ. His brother was a dealer in Michigan, it was before he became a god with a rod, that would have been interesting.

That surely would have been something.

I was just thinking the other day, this brand sure has quite the dedicated following and continued interest for a brand that hasn't been in production for quite a while now. IMHO, some part of that is because we have folks like you and Matt and Lea and others that bridge the gap from when the company existed to the noobs like me. Your guys' knowledge give a frame of reference and a sense of history or legacy and at least for me, I appreciate that and it makes owning one all the better. No doubt, to some people, that sense of legacy doesn't mean squat, but for those of us that appreciate it, thanks.

I agree with all of this. As a new Champion owner, when I bought this boat last year I thought it was a good boat at a good price from a friendly seller that obviously took great care of it and that was that. But now every time I'm at a ramp people are always coming over
to "check out this Champ"...."that's the boat I've always wanted"......"I had one & let it go, huge mistake"....."Best ride I've ever been in" ....... "you wanna sell it" etc...........So I've kinda unintentionally bought into a unique little group of Champion owners. It's like the classic car of the boat ramps & makes me proud to own it & maintain it.

I've culled so much information from these pages that simple tasks that at first would intimidate me are just common place stuff at this point. Thanks to all of you for sharing this information with new owners like myself. It is tremendously helpful.
