JM bought the whole production line as you guys have noticed his boats have motors !
Just got notice - motor will ship September 30. They must be catching up on production
It's still not looking good for seeing Mercury catching up anytime soon. I called around to alot of dealers this week and there was only a couple that had received a engine recently. The biggest concern I had was that every dealer said the same thing........"we don't know when we will get any." Kinda lets me know it's still going to be awhile. On good note in all my calls found a dealer in Virginia that had one!!! Bought it and it'll be on a truck headed to local dealer next week. But Mercury really screwed the pooch on all this
I found a used 250R thats broke in with over two and a half years left on warranty... Should be here Monday.
I'll give someone my spot on the waiting list..
At these tournaments there sure are alot of boats with the new 4 strokes. Catt's, Phoenix, Nitros, Rangers. Seems like to me they are pumping alot of engines out to manufacturer's. Im sure loose motors are harder to come by. Glad the motors are proving to be very reliable and durable.

I agree, All the NEW boats I see with the new motors. Must not be a huge issue for the builders.
Mercury had an idea on production forecast they would need from the boat builders preorders and estimates.
There was no way for them to estimate the number of repowers, which it appears there was way more than expected.
And most dealers are not going to stock a bunch of engines just incase "Billy" comes buy needing an repower.
For those repowering,, well....that's just the way it goes.
Priority goes to the builders, they have contracts and a lot of money on the line.
I am sure some of you can understand!!!

Have to remember that those manufacturers ALSO order engines well in advance, most of the time.

There was a time that I didn't fish but I cannot remember it.
Got my motor rigged today and I haven't stopped smiling yet! Start break in tomorrow. I asked at the dealer, if I were to order a motor today, how long is the wait? She showed me her list (whiteboard) and said it would be 15 months!! I guess 9 months wasn't so bad.
