    Crestliner PT18 or PT20?

I’m looking at buying a crestliner PT model. I really don’t want to spend 40k but that 20 is so nice. From the website it looks like they are just about the same weight without the motor and the merc 150 & 200 are pretty close in weight also.
Will the 18 get blown around less in the wind since it has about the same weight but less surface area?
Also which seems like a better deal?
    $40k 2019 PT20- 200 proXS V8, Hotfoot, 36v ultrex, 4 bank charger, tandem trailer, limited paint green/ black
    Or
$35k 2019 PT18- 150 proXS V6, hotfoot, 24v Fortrex, 3 bank charger, single axle, limited all green paint.

The extra $5k seems to be buying quite a lot, so value looks better with the 20. Whether it's worth it to you though is another matter. $5k is $5k.

Ultrex vrs Fortrex - 36v vrs 24v - 20' vrs 18' - 200hp v8 vrs 150 v6 - single axle vrs tandem and only $5K difference seems like a no brainer - I'd get the 20' boat but as stated - $5K is $5K and if the budget won't allow it then the 18' boat is better than no boat is the way I think or perhaps do without a boat until you have the extra $5K.

I mean I can afford it but I’m cheap! I absolutely hate losing 20% or more as soon as I leave the parking lot.

What about the wind drift? Any opinions on if the 18’ would be less effected?

I have a 2018 pt18, boat is very stable and I don’t notice the wind that much, I’m sure 20 mph plus wind would aggravate about any boat and fishermen, pt’s don’t set bow high like most aluminum boats and the are fairly heavy according to Crestliner, I’m happy with mine. One thing I would have done over is get the Ultrex instead of the fourtrex, but other than that it’s a pretty good boat.

I have a PT18 and love it, it's the same width as the PT20. put an ultrex on the 18 and a 150proXS you'll be happy

just purchased a 2019 PT18 150 ProXS mercury, have the ultrex and 2 PP’s. Still haven’t gotten it 100% rigged yet but looking forward to it, since I sell them everyday it’s been tough not getting in my own
