So we are currently half way through our first fishing trip to Texas. We got here Friday and my son (9) and I fished only for a few hours. We didn’t have much luck. Saturday morning we fished pretty hard. I caught 3 and my son caught 4. I was so excited he was able to catch some as his attention fades fast. I went out this morning and only caught two, I was very frustrated, that was until I tied on a swim jig. After that it was on. Today was one of the best days I’ve had on the water in a long time. Didn’t catch anything huge but caught a lot. Took the boy back out tonight, tied him a swim jig on and he started catching them. He is pretty excited, and I hope that maybe, just maybe his interest in fishing will grow from here.

Good to hear, Saturday fishing was very good. Sunday was tough to find keepers for me.

Took my wife out on Sunday and slayed the hybird/white bass. Had a good time.

if u guys want to catch some white bass, I know of a few spots.
