    Northern Michigan

I’m heading up to Gaylord area on June 8th to the 15th. Never been up this time of year. Will they be spawning still? I was wanting to head over to torch if the smallies will be in beds. Also thought about Burt mullet. Any suggestions on what to do and what type of fishing I’ll be doing?

Yes, it's just starting depending on which lakes you visit. Charlevoix, not on yet but probably will be by then. Burt, Mullet and Crooked pulled up over the weekend. Numerous 25lb bags caught yesterday during the Payback event.

Slip bobbers and leaches drifting the weed beds and weed edges would be my plan of attack.

I’m heading to torch tomorrow. Anyone have an update on how it’s fishing. Are their anymore on beds?

On that lake I'd think you'll still find them. Still plenty to go around a little farther north. Everything is slow, cold, and behind schedule a bit.

They should be moving in pretty well now. The males were starting to stage by objects a week ago. I'm heading over there sometime this week. Glen lake is also on my radar\
