2002 200XL EFI No Idle

Several months ago, engine would just turn over and no start. Had a new high pressure fuel pump installed several months ago, and now starts and idles fine on the muffs. But when put in the water if for some reason, idles awhile, will shut off and will not start back up.Yesterday tried to start with WOT, it would start, bring throttle back to a high idle,but as soon as you put it in neutral it will die. Brought it home, put the muffs on and started at the touch of the switch, idled for many minutes, forward to neutral to reverse and everything seems fine. Does this engine have a low pressure fuel pump or where should I start. Bout to drive me crazy. Please help

When your motor dies is the fuel primer bulb still hard or soft (indicating the low pressure fuel pump is not keeping up with our engine's fuel demand )
