    Hobby vs business?

How does an insurance company deem your fishing gear a business expense and lessen the value of a claim based on this decision?

I do not pro staff for anything dont advertise. Got luck and caught a 4.0 bass during a big bass bash for $500.

My stuff was stolen from my garage not my boat and I made a claim on my renters I insurance for the stolen items. How could this be right? The reason for the question is between my graphs spare prop rods and reels that crap add up quick and they say they can only cover 20% of it due to it is business equipment
