Hey guys,

I have a 2012 Nitro z7 with a 150 pro xs. The speed of my boat is not very good at all. Hole shot is good, motor sounds like its running perfectly, but top end with tournament load is only in the mid 40s and it struggles to get to 4900/5000 rpm wot. I know some of these hulls are known for a hook, but when I look at the hull it does not appear to be hooked. Other information is that motor is mounted on the second hole from the top and came with a 24p fury prop. Would I be able to get more by raising the motor a hole and going to a 23 tempest or something similar? Or...does this sound like more of a motor/hull problem with the slow top end speed?
