27p or 25p renegade on 175 evinrude
Hi all. Looking for some advice. I am currently running a 25p renegade bass prop on my 96 evinrude intruder. I have the opportunity to get a 27p renegade and was wondering what performance difference I would see by going up a pitch? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The motor is on an older ranger 362v
thanks

You'll probably loose rpm's and speed.

My bet is that's too much prop for your motor.

Either one should be 2 much prop...

Typically the 25 Renegade bass is a good fit for your combo. In most cases a 25 pitch four blade is too much prop for a 18 ft 175 hp combo but a Renegade Bass 4 blade is only 13.5" in diameter, therefore you can turn a higher pitch due to less surface area resistance. The only way I can see you turning the 27 is if you have a super light a light load and cool weather...what is your current rpm with the 25 Renegade?

The Fury or Tempest are both MUCH better prop choices than the Renegade. Trust me I have had 2 different renegade props and now have both a Fury and a Tempest and both the Fury and Tempest are WORLD'S better in every way holeshot, bow lift, midrange and top end speed

Similar question, I have a 2000 Ranger R97 with an Evinrude 200hp using a Renegade 4 blade 13-1/2 x 25. I’m looking to replace this with a new prop and keep this dinged up prop as a spare until I get it repaired. Looking for suggestions as to brand, diameter, pitch, etc.

I personally think based on experience you will see a night and day difference with a 24 or 25 p fury 4. I love my 25 fury 4 and I just got a 25 p trophy that im anxious to try. the fury 4 has more bow lift more stern lift and way faster acceleration and mid range punch
