WPC or anyone else, pitch difference between non vented Yamaha T1 and Mercury Bravo 1

Looking for insight on a Mecrury Bravo 1 on a Yamaha SHO. I have never ran a Bravo prop on my SHO engine. I currently run a 27 non vented Yamaha T1. In my experience, the T1's are pretty stiff when comparing to some other props I have ran. If I am eyeing up a Bravo prop, would I want to go down a pitch, to a 25 or 26, due to 4 blades vs 3, or is the Bravo not as stiff and I should stay with a 27? Thanks for any help.

I used to run a worked 25P T-1 and ran an original Bravo 1 26P the same rpms or perhaps a little less because my boat didn't like the Bravo at all and wouldn't get up and perform like it did with the T-1 or the worked Tempest I have now.

There was a thread on the Phoenix forum a while back. I believe it was pitch for pitch. If you have a 27 SHO prop the would be Bravo XS 27.

I ran a 24 T2 and went to a 25 bravo and rpm actually went up 200, that was in the winter, now that its summer the rpms are about the same

What boat are you running with the SHO motor? Did you end up getting better performance with the Bravo? How much higher were you able to run the Bravo?

On my Phoenix I run a 25 T2 and a 27 bravo to the same rpm and within a mph or 2 of each other depending on load. Run the bravo 3/4" higher than the T2 but it would run higher if I wasn't out of jackplate

Any noticeable difference in rough water between the T2 and Bravo?

You normally can run two pitches higher when running a bravo

In my experience I’ve noticed you need to go up in pitch with a bravo. Usually a bravo is 1-2 pitches light.

Legend V20, run the bravo at the same height. Rides much better, and mid range accelleration is much better

When you say rides much better, are you meaning rough water? Can you explain a little more?

On my boat the bravo actually rides a tad bit rougher than the T2 over chop but that's just the nature of the Phoenix hull. Any bit of stern lift makes it slap instead of cut through like normal.
The bravo has a hair more stern lift than the T2. In rough water it about evens out because of the extra mid range
