Helix 7 Mega imaging

About to replace an old Lowrance 5 on the bow with aHELIX 7 CHIRP MEGA SI GPS G3N .
I can see the Mega down imaging on the bow, but do I need Side imaging on the trolling motor? I have a Garmin side imaging on the console, so units tied together is out.
And in looking at this Helix 7 unit, there is one that is DI, and one that is SI. Does not the side imaging also show down imaging?

I guess what I'm asking is the transducer for SI the same as DI?

And the other answer is no. They are not the same transducer. Wanye on here is a person who really knows about the HB products.
