    Flood cleanup

So no damage to home or anything major. I was working on lots of tackle when the water came and it was a low priority at the time. Now I've got dozens of spinnerbaits that were under muddy oily water for 4-5 days. The skirts and bodies & blades cleaned right up with dawn & hot water. Rusty hooks are my problem. Other than endless sanding, any good ideas to clean up these hooks? I know once I sand them they will rust more easily.

Vinegar takes off some minor rust... just fill a bowl with some white vinegar and let them soak a bit. The rust will usually wipe off with a cloth or paper towel.
