    Torque spec.

What torque spec is recommended for 2006 294 pro xl transom bolts. Im adding a jack plate. I spoke to ranger/stratos and the tech told me 90 on transom and 90 on plate to motor. 90 seems alot on the transom but ok plate to motor. I was figuring somewhere around 50 for the transom bolts. Anyone have any experience or input on this. Thanks.

I am no expert but I believe it is normally 55 ft/lbs for transom bolts and 90 for motor/jackplate bolts.

I ended up going with 55 ft lbs on the transom and just a touch over 90 plate to motor.
