Raker II like to run high or low

Just got a 26 Raker II will be running on a 200 HO etec these like to run high or low? Just wondering as jackplate is set at 2.75 below where the fury 4 25P ran its best numbers wondering if this was to high for the Raker II never ran a Raker prop.
any help greatly appreciated. just looking for good starting point with a Raker II before I go out. I know every combomis different and will have to experiment as always just looking for generalization.

A 26" raker might be too much prop if your running a 25 Fury 4. Run it at the same height and see what it does.

at 2 3/4 ptp ran at 68.9 at 5250 rpm nabout 1/2 mph better then the Fury 4 but Rpms way too low, think try to go up or down or just too much prop. Tempest plus 25p will be next I try. Just trying get to 70 any suggestions?. Fury 4
26p maybe? would a trophy be little faster then a fury 4? The fury 4 25 was at 5800 at 2 3/4 under. Really thought the 200 HO would have spun the 26 raker II on this boat. Rpms are off engine interface on Nema network. Has a 1.86 L1 lower on it. any help would be greatly appreciated

    imo a trophy would be fastest, a 24p just my experience, i run a 24 tr @ 6000 78mph gps. 1.87 jackplate way high.

Ive heard the trophys are faster..so you think a 24 trophy over a 25? Think the 24 trophy would be faster then the 25 fury 4?

Go up 1/4” on that Raker 26 and see what you get.

Something does not seem right with the numbers....google prop slip calculator and use 26 pitch, 5250 rpm. 1.86 gear ratio and 68.9 as speed. Your theoretical slip is 1%...1% slip is impossible. 6-7% is considered great with 8-12% being normal.

Yeah did it myself earlier today however all these numbers came off of nema 2000 and engine interface cable. Ran the 25 fury 4 thru there at 5800 and 68.3 and got 8 percent. I'm gonna run it again this week, just to check the numbers 1 more time.

Did you add an inch of pitch? You are suppose to add an inch of pitch for a cupped prop.

What boat and motor? Those numbers are very questionable. As in bullshit. Your theoretical speed without ANY slip isn't even 78 mph.

No way in hell a 24 would run 78 with 1.87 gears at 6000. You'd have to turn closer to 7000. Something is off with the 26" raker or the height prop to pad so I'd start raising it 1/4" at a time until you gain rpm's but not speed, loose water pressure or bow lift. I don't know if you'll ever get that Ranger over 70 with 1.86 gears 1.75 yes but not 1.86.

well im 1 mph away at this point so a simple balance and blueprint would get me there I would imagine. im sure can be done with the right prop without balance and blueprint, im 68.3 with a 4 blade prop.. cant imagine the right 3 blade prop at 5900 rpm wont put me 70 plus

Like I said try raising it up and see what it does. You have more rpm's left to go.

My '06 519 w/ 200 HO and the 26P Raker II will run over 70 GPS at a tad over 5700 RPMs. I am between 2-2.25" under pad. Lower and I lose significant speed

ill raise her up and try the Raker II again. Ran a 27p renegade yesterday 2 .75 below spun to 5750 at 67 . didnt have much bow lift . maybe need to run higher as well? Thing I didnt like about it was it was very slow to get to speed unlike the fury 4, it got there but took alot of lake. looks like about a 15 percent slip?

A three blade will carry the bow higher than a four blade.
