    Everyone must be fishin'....

Kinda quiet on here. Guess everyone's out fishing. I've been on 5 different lakes since the C & R opener and the fishing for pre-spawners has been absolutely epic. Only one of the lakes was sub-par but only because we had a freaking 30+ east wind. Normally I would be grumbling about the crummy spring weather we've had the last two weeks but I think it has actually helped in that it has kept the water temps down and delayed the spawn.

    Anybody else catchin'?
There was a time that I didn't fish but I cannot remember it.

I have been out a bit on some west metro lakes and have found the fish to be going back and forth depending on what lake I am on. Water temps are up one week then drop, then go back up again. Its been an interesting spring, but have been finding some fish. Its only going to get better once our great MN weather finally starts to stabilize. I think a lot of fish are confused to whats going on!

Been out a few times trying mostly new lakes, and this spring hasn't been the best spring for exploration. Luckily, quality has made up for quantity. I caught 5 small bass Saturday...that was the worst day i've had in MN...ever! Though, I believe the lake suffered a fairly severe winterkill.

I can't say for certain i've gone to any "good" lakes...but a few days of warm sun and stable weather and things will pick right up.

Smallies are ready to spawn, just need the water to warm. Still in mid 50’s in a lot of places.

It was definitely a great prespawn and spawn. Was a bit tougher over the weekend but they were still biting if you found them.

I had an outstanding month of May. On June 2 my motor broke down and so did fishing for the most part.

Saw some up in the shallow sand/gravel last weekend. During three days I could definitely tell they were on the move.
