Do any states have "vanity registration" for boats?

Vanity plates have been a good source of revenue in Ohio for automobiles. I'm just wondering if any states have vanity registration for boats.

Yes, we do in Virginia. My last bassboat was a gold/black/white Basscat Jaguar. The trailer tag was "GOLD JAG"

We got it for trailers. My truck has Hook Me 1, trailer has Hook Me 2. Have Feel Tug and Catchem on garage wall from past ones.

Yes I suppose I could but the reason I asked is when I was fishing some canals in Michigan last week I saw a boat with "BASS'N" where the numbers would usually be and then then a registration expiration sticker but no numbers. Made me wonder what was going on.

It would be hard to do a vanity registration in my opinion...the first two letters are always the state, followed by 4 numbers then 2 letters. With only having 2 letters you can change the options to find something to go with 4 numbers is small.

Yes there seems to be such a uniform approach among all states there must be a federal thing as mentioned by someone else. Unlike car plates which seem to vary from state-to-state.
