Firetiger, pumpkinseed. red shad, tequila sunrise

Used to be very popular lure colors....hardly hear mention of them much anymore. Used to throw pumpkinseed Berkley Powerbait lizards in the yellow and turquoise bag.......

Love to throw a firetiger crank on cloudy days. Those deep Fork fish love a Red Shad Ol Monster in the summer months.

Firetiger is one of my most productive colors for the waters I fish. And I throw a 10" ribbontail in red shad out deep.

Pumpkinseed and Tequila Sunrise are my favorite bait colors for Texas rigged zoom plastics. I always have to order the Tequila Sunrise online can never find it in stores.

I tend to use red shad in clear water. Seems to work out well for me.

Red shad was my go to color for years and I still use it often but Red Bug is quickly taking its place especially with my drop shot rigs......

Back in the 80's, I'd go back to Oklahoma and stay with grandparents for a month out of the summer. A tequila sunrise rattle trap was the lure to use. Still have it.

Red shad, motor oil, and tequila sunrise were the only colors of ribbon tails me and my dad ever Used. We just started using them again last year

I think I might order me a few bags of 12” red shad culprit worms. I always thought they made an awesome looking version of this.

My personal best came on a fire and ice worm out at Stick Marsh Farm 13. And I hardly fish worms now days. At times when I do, and I sort through my supply in the boat to find what I want. I to think about all the different colors I caught bass on as I sort through seeing the different colors.

All of those colors except pumpkinseed are still big players in my boat. Especially firetiger. Most all my square bills are firetiger.
