Trying to figure out where that is... Regardless, I'd have it welded.

The crack is at the corner, on the top edge of the Transom. Thanks for the reply, I thought welding would probably be best. Boat is 20 years old and a "Garage Queen."

Have it welded, and get a good transom saver.

I have the "Stick Type", what would you suggest otherwise?

I still have the original stick type that came with mine. I guess my OP should have said, make sure to use a transom saver. Not sure if that is what caused your problem, but it's a good place to start.

This is what I've used since boat was new in 2000. I'd never attempt moving it without the transom saver. I'm sure my 20 year old 125 Merc is heavier than a larger/newer engine. Boat was only rated for 150 hp max.

Strange it cracked with a transom saver. Any how just get it tig welded if you dont weld and should be fine. If you lived here by me I would say bring it over but that would be tiny bit of a drive lol.

I appreciate the thought Mutt. Got an appointment tomorrow morning at our local Weld Shop. Ain't even a mile from our shack!
