    Question Electroless

Have always charged starting battery with portable.
Recentley saw on here where I could charge 2 batteries in parallel so I came off my third troll battery to start battery. Takes longer but worked good except major electroless on lower unit, jack plate and some on troll mtr where there was bare metal.
What can I do to stop this???

You can only make a connection between the cranking battery and the TM battery that has the negative TM cable on it. Generally any connection is a bad thing. Interference and excess drain on one of the paralleled batteries.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.

Can I parallel two trolling batteries and put the starter on a single ??
Or do I need to go back to my original charge starter with portable ?

You cannot parallel the trolling batteries. With the jumper, this would cause a dead short. Determine which battery feeds ground to the trollingmotor. Use that battery in parallel with the cranking battery. I install battery selector switches for this purpose.
