    Electronics questions

    I have a couple of gen 1 HDS 8's and want to mount them on a boat I bought for my son. I have the two hds gen 1 units, LSS1 transducer, power cord, tan cord to connect, But I know I need a LSS STRUCTURE scan. But I guess my main question is, if I have hds generation 1 units can I use a LSS 2 structure scan box? And if so, will the hds lss1 transducer i do have work with the LSS2 structures scan or do I also have to have LSS2 transducer? If I have gen 1 units does gen 2 lss structure scan help with better imaging on gen one units? Might upgrade my stuff again and he could have my 10's and structure scan but not sure I can afford to do that today! Thanks in advance!

    I believe you can, but the LSS-1 will not give you the best display for the SideScan. Post this in the Lowrance forum for the best answers.
