I have Ulterra riptide ipilot link Bluetooth. I have new style remote. The stow or deploy icon is not on my remote. I gave to do it from my Humminbird solix. I do not have foot pedal with it.

Did you touch the Ulterra "Mode" icon?
This should help if you have this remote. The Ulterra button is used to access Ulterra functions
