    Solix/Ultrex Mapping Question

I am wanting to share my ultrex heading sensor with the console unit but when the trolling motor is not deployed I am losing connection to the heading sensor. Do i need to connect the heading sensor with the console unit via Bluetooth to stop this from happening? Or do I need to get a AS GPS HS puck for the console.

Also I tried using the ultrex as my GPS source for the bow unit. Of course i lose the GPS when the trolling motor is not deployed but doesn’t seem to find it when i deploy the ultrex. Is there a workaround for this?

The Minnkota heading sensor talks to the iPilot GPS. That is turned off when the motor is stowed.

When I use the iPilot as the GPS source for the units, it turns off when the motor is stowed and immediately starts working when the motor is deployed.

Why do you want the console unit to have Heading?

I’ve yet to get the ultrex GPS to connect – It see it but is always listed as (Lost Connection)

The MK Bluetooth sensor only talks to the trolling motor via Bluetooth

Your units get the data via the ethernet from the trolling motor

Its a shame that other companies can provide a wireless network but Johnson outdoors can't even get a single sensor to work via Bluetooth across a network

But hey you can see that text message from your boss nagging you on your sonar screen!
