    Power poles with ladder???

I have a 2003 tr21. Can anyone verify if a twist step ladder will work with dual poles with s-2-6 brackets? I had an all aboard ladder and unfortunately it did not fit with adding a 2nd pole. Just trying to find an alternative. Thanks all.

I’m not sure about a TR21 but I used to have an 03 TR185 and it worked with dual 8’ Power Poles. I don’t remember which brackets I had. It was a tight squeeze to get in between the Poles and motor but could be done. If I lowered the Poles some, it was plenty of room. My engine bolts were long so I left the nuts in place and just put a washer on the each bolts then put the ladder on and then installed another nut. This put the ladder at a slight angle which I feel made it easier to get in the boat. I gave the boat to my nephew a few years ago so I can still get photos if you would like some.

Additional info: I don’t remember the bracket number, but it is the one that puts the poles farther out from the motor. The brackets on my new boat put the Poles closer to the motor. I will have my nephew see if the brackets have numbers stamped on them somewhere.

Awesome. Id greatly appreciate it! Thanks for the info. If you could get a measurement of the bracket it would help me to compare. Like, how far from jackplate to end of bracket. Thanks again!

Will do. I texted my nephew to check for me and get some photos. I know he’s fishing today so hopefully I will get the info some time today.

Here are a couple of photos my nephew took. He didn’t have a tape measure but will measure the distance between the Poles and motor when he gets home. He didn’t see any numbers stamped on the brackets but I will see if I can look up the order when I bought them several years ago. It doesn’t look like the bracket you are talking about would give you enough room. His brackets move the Poles farther away from the motor than the ones you mentioned.

I’m not sure why the photos are distorted. They were fine before they were uploaded.

Here are the brackets on his boat. Unfortunately, they have been discontinued so that wouldn’t help you. Too bad you don’t have a flat spot on the rear sponsons, then you could install the ladder they have been using since the 2004 models. I’m not sure what other options may work.
