    Quickcare

I have a Merc 175 OptiMaxx. I only run ethanol free fuel. I always use mercury quickclean every time I fill up. Just wondering if you guys out there that use ethanol free also use the quick care. Just wondering if it is needed when you only run ethanol free

    I use Don's cocktail.

Add equal volumes of each to your container- mix well, and use 2oz of the mixture per 5 gallons of fuel. The RECOMMENDED ratio is:

    1oz Quickcare +
    1oz Quickleen
    --------------------
    Per 5 Gallons of Fuel.

I know it doesn't make a difference to add a little extra but... Quickcare is 1oz. per 10 gallons of fuel... Quickleen is 1oz. per 5 gallons... Dan

Dan...Don actually recommends using the 1:5 instead of the 1:10 for quickcare. Igo by his recommendation since he knows Merc's better than most factory techs.

E free fuel use is advantageous but not required in late model outboards. The use of additives in fuel is best decided after you know what's in them.

This is what I do as well. Every time. I run nothing but non-ethanol gas. Hasn't failed me yet.

I run no additives, Top Tier E10 fuel and have for many years. I can't see were adding kerosene to my fuel will help. Check the additive's MSDS.

I use this plus premium plus oil at a 150:1. Helps your direct injectors. I keep my empty bottles of quickclean or care. 8 ounces of oil 2 ounces each of care and kleen treats 10 gallons. Keep a couple bottles on boat and several in garage. Lot quicker than measuring each out when fuel needed. Just remember at the pump it's 10 gallons not 10 dollars. LoL

I run e10 and no additives. Never found a reason to waste money on any additives. Never had a problem with e10

Well all i know is the data and evidence shows otherwise Motors that are not treated with some kind of ethanol treatment do not last as long as those that do and that's a fact.

Pretty sure the evidence and data you have are more like hearsay.
