    Fortrex 80 Prop Shaft Seals Question

    Has any one changed out the prop shaft seals on a Fortrex 80 24volt. Trying to figger out how to get them out. Any help would be appreciated.

    After removal of the com cap and brush card, you will go through the "seal" end with a punch and remove the bushing, (be careful not to damage the bushing - can also use a sacrificial socket) then turn the com cap over and using a punch remove the outer seal then the inner seal.

    Thanks John. After posting I did find and older thread where you had mentioned this procedure. Any advise on the removal and installation of the armature bearing.

    Use a puller to remove, tap on with the right size 3/8 drive sacrificial socket
