    Question 2003 187 jackplate to transom torque?

    Anyone have any idea of torque specs for the 2003 model boats for the jackplate to transom mounting bolts? Ive got 1/2" 18 thread perinch bolts that Im using.

    Not 100%, but thought it was 55 ft lbs... I think it's listed in the sticky's in this or Mercury section.

    I am prob wrong, but I thought it was 45 for wood transoms and 55 for composite. I don’t recall where I read that and I’m not sure if the 2003 had composite or wood.

    TN built Champs are all composite...as of 2003 I believe.
