Advice from Swimbait Guys (Ospreys, Scroungers, etc.)

It's summer in Orlando. For the past few weeks I've been brushing up offshore, mainly getting suspended fish with jerkbaits, med divers, and the occasional 10XD and drop shot fish. Mid-90's are here. When I fish Toho, it does not matter, it's only 10 feet deep but I have some other pretty deep lakes that I like to fish around here. Going to break out some flutter spoons and try some Ospreys and Scroungers (I can't get myself to believe a trout bait will work here--but I will try that soon I'm sure).

    Couple questions:
What's a good rod to handle 2-4 oz.? The ranges on rods I've looked at are huge 1-5, 2-8, 3-10, etc. Fairly large investment, so I don't wanna guess wrong.
Secondly, any other Fla. guys doing this? Any tips?

If you don't want to spend a lot the Dobyns fury 806 sb is a awesome rod for the 2-5 oz range.

Cool, I was looking at Dobyns, thank you.

Will fish primarily single hook, 806 plenty beef for that? Or do I need 807?
