    Douglas Mid June

Vacationing at a campground on Douglas Lake in mid June. We're from the Charlotte, NC area and have never fished Douglas. Is the bass fishing any good this time? Is it primarily a largemouth or smallmouth lake?
Any pointers for newbies on the lake?
    Thanks in advance!

Largemouth. Big Worms in Red and deep cranking is usually the way I go. Also Night fishing tends to be better but they still can me caught during the day. Pick out a creek start fishing.

Smallmouth are mostly mid lake to dam. Largemouth everywhere. Mid June could be very hot. Early and late with after dark best.

main lake points for me unless in large creek like Muddy Creek and then points in main channel. Enjoy your vacation.
