    Stop tracking lines

Is there a way to turn off the tracking lines permanently? They are annoying to me and just clutter up my map screen. I stop current track, clear current track, and/or hide track lines everytime i get in the boat. I have yet to figure out how to stop it for good though. I am cautious to remember to turn graph off with power button and give it a minute or so to power down before cutting power switch off to units.

    Its for a helix 9 g2n gps msi 1.90 and a helix 7 g2n gps si 2.00

    Stop Tracking:
Use the instructions in this section to turn off tracking. If you turn off tracking, the unit will not save trackpoints.
    1. Main Menu: Press the MENU key twice. Select the Nav tab.
    2. Select Current Track. Press the RIGHT Cursor key.
    3. Select Stop Tracking. Press the RIGHT Cursor key.To start tracking, select the Nav tab > Current Track > Start Tracking.

You'll never guess where I found this.

Ive done that. Then it starts right back tracking again next time i power up the graphs. I want to stop it from now on, not jist the day.

I had the same question so I called Humminbird. They said that you cannot permanently turn off tracking. You have to turn it off each time you power up the unit.

The only other thing is changing appearance to where it doesn't bother you.
