300 HPDI is 720 hours below 1,000 RPM

Just purchased the boat and motor. The motor runs great. According to the computer printout it has 1,100 total hours with 720 at less then 1,000 RPM. Can this be right? Does the Motor register hours if the key is left in the on position?
Motor has mostly been on Lake Havasu, I don't see much trolling going on there.

Could be right. Some guys spend lots of time scanning for cover and fish with the great electronics we have these days.

Those hours are typical for a fishing boat. And if the boat was used at Havasu most of those hours were used idling along the shore line looking for bikinis or in and around London Bridge!
