1999 Triton tr21 setup
Hello everyone I'm looking to finally get this boat set up right. I know everyone says to run a 25 p trophy but I am having a heck of a time finding any of them. I have a 1999 optimal 225 and have been thinking of running the fury. Has any one ran a fury on the early tr21 and what did you think of them. Thanks for any help
-
25 tempest or 25 trophy with that boat and motor. I know they aren't cheap but I'd just buy a new 25 Trophy from Rothwell marine.

Do you know what the run there.
-
Due to the trade war price increase $605 is the current price listed. Jaco's used to list prices but don't anymore. Rothwell marine's number is 870-777-6180 and they are a board sponsor. You could call Mark Croxton he sells a three blade thats close to a tempest plus.

So I can't find any new trouphys at all if I wanted to run a fury 4 what would you guys recommend
-
In the props4sale board below there is an ad by Bass Cat Boats that have a list of props they have for sale most are new or demos some are used. Check the prices in their ad because $400 is a real good price.

It says small shaft and not sure how to check what size prop shaft I have
-
-
It says small tube which is what all trophy plus props are and they all have Flo Torq hubs that can be changed to fit 1" or 1.25" shafts. A 1999 225 opti max has a 1" shaft.

Finally found a trophy plus 25p. Next question for a1999 optimax 225 what hub kit part number do I need
-
835257K6 or Q6 torqued to 100 lbs. This is the older number and may have changed but you should be able to find a hub using it.
-
Question one has a front bushing and one does not. Does it matter which one and is it the same torque for both. Thanks for helping
-
If it has a Flo Torq II hub it needs the front bushing or the prop is not supported properly on the shaft that's why they recommend that front bushing on the heavy props. You can buy just the front bushing if you need or want one past number 856163Q1. On a Mercury motor with the right thrust washer not using it can cause the prop to mount too deep.
-
I'm buying a new hub kit as the prob does not come with on. Soni should get the one with the front bushing
-
The kit # 835257K6 or Q6 should come complete with the forward cone in it.

Thanks so much for the help. On last dump question I have an ol the Marine pro hi jacker plate the side screws are 3/4 what is the cent adjustment screw size need to buy a new socket to fit it

Got out to run the new trophy tonight no pvs plugs in and it wanted to blow out getting on pad I live a ways from the lake so wondering where to start should I get solid plugs and how many should I close up. I need to raise the motor as I was doing 64 at 5200rpm I did measure and I'm 4 inches below pad so I know I need to come up at least an inch
-
Start with all solids that's how I run my trophy props and see if it bogs down or spins up to 3500-4000 rpm's. If it still bows out with all solids you'll need a cav ring on the prop and then try different size PVS holes.

Thanks the trophy did come with a blow out ring on it so that's on there and all holes open. I'll get some solid plugs do you think I should plug all of them with having the blow ring on
