    Lake Eucha.

Anybody have any tips for Eucha? I've got a TX. on it next month and I've never been on it. Anything to watch out for when running, anywhere not to go to? I done a drive around it two years ago and it looked like a lot of willow grass and rocks, with a few lay downs mixed in.

Islands on north east side are a potential boating danger. Shallows on the upper end have been told are a mess.
Not many trees in the main lake to watch for as danger. Clear smooth lake.
drastic water flux can occur during summer as discharge is according to Tulsa/spavinaw needs. Check it out.
    good luck.

Islands on north east side?? Not sure what islands you refer to.

I've never seen drastic fluctuation? Sure you aren't thinking of Spavinaw? Eucha does not have a flow line like Spavinaw. Only gates (which are almost never used) and spillway.

Eucha is what he asked directions about.
Down lake towards dam there are a couple of islands to watch for, clearly mapped.
they draw down Eucha to keep Spavinaw levals appropriate for water supply to Tulsa.
last year when I fished it they had dropped it 4 feet over 3 days.
gentleman I spoke with at the ramp said his catch went from 50, to 30, to 10 each day of drop.
i don’t have to tell you what day I was there!

One island actually....and it is on the north side, (really shouldn't be a boating hazard), west end of the lake.

I've fished Eucha for almost 20 years. They don't pull Eucha down...they don't (repeat) use the gates....and don't have a flow line......

I thought Eucha was spillway only. I’ve never known it to fluctuate very much. Can be killer fishing!
There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.

I'm hoping that by the end of June everything will be down enough to open the ramps back up everywhere else.
