MEGA Plus vs. Active Imaging transducers side imaging

I get a lot of questions on which side imaging is better so I did a short tutorial comparing Humminbird MEGA Plus and Lowrance Active Imaging transducers.

I think it's pretty sad that you tell people who spent that much money, not to bother tuning them for conditions. Spend 60 seconds to make the image as good as it can be, so you can actually see what's in the water column, and get sharp, contrasty bottom reflections.

BTW, the HB seemed to show a lot more stuff in the water column, although those sharpened L pics looked prettier at first glance.

Just my 2ct . I was considering going some place else because of all the issues I’ve had since new ,due to all the software glitches and such. With that said to there defense ( Humminbird) it is getting better they almost have the bugs out of the G2N. I looked at lowrance and Garmin and from what I’ve seen even with there latest options there image quality is just lacking in my humble opinion. Auto tune?!? No thanks!
