    2005 200 3.0 literOptimax charging issues

    Guys, I have a 2005 Optimax. 1B029048 3.0 liter.
    Only getting 12-13 volts charging.
    Put a brand new alternator on and no difference.
    Any ideas?

    Got to agree with Joe on OE parts......
    Check it at the battery and at the alternator output terminal to compare to the smartcraft reading, may be different. If so you will need to find the where the drop is. Also a bad or very low battery may not allow the the voltage to rise.
    There is a lot of junk and counterfeit parts out there
