    Screw broke off

17 721 today while wiping the boat down I found one of the screws on the stainless angle in the splash well broken off. Has anyone ran into this and how did you repair it? Thanks

May have to carefully drill it out...

I had to fix one for a buddy on a 920, but we took the entire plate off, then grind the top for the screw flat then drill, the screws are stainless steel and if broke off on an angle they are hard to drill, it will be tricky with the plate on, luckly we were installing a jack plate so we had the motor unbolted

Yea I never repaired mine. I think I have 2 snapped off right now. It’s due to transom flex. That’s where the gel coat cracks usually start.
