Mine runs 68, but I have a gator hull and it steals some speed, motor has 500 hours on it too. Guys have claimed upto 74, but again.....I’d have to see it to believe it.

edit: I don’t have p.poles and I’m not running a full tournament load. I think 63-65 would be all I could squeak out like that. The gator hull really grabs water when it’s got some weight against it.

I had a 200 Elite with a 225. Tournament load & two guys it would run 66mph. Pretty similar to the 198. I had a Champion 210 with a 250 SHO it was a consistent low 70’s boat.

On forum boards like this, all caps indicates yelling and it's kinda difficult to read.

Maybe he was yelling! Elementary education usually solves the "difficult to read" issue.

My 198/225 Opti runs 71.9...empty wells, 2 not small people, half tank of fuel, full tourney gear load, no power poles.

Is there any difference in the Charger 210 and the Champ 210 that would affect performance? I keep hearing chine walking. I had an 08 that was 1 finger smooth til 77ish. I had a 300xs. From what I've always heard 300 vs 250 is 5mph max. I could fish with just about any load at 75. My best speed light and zero gear was 79.2. It was a 76-77 fishing boat. That would put a 250 right there where Kelly said 71-73.

Couldn’t wait for the new mercury. Repowered with the Yamaha 250 sho. Did the break in today, had it up to 72.5 with tournament load live wells full. Pretty sure I can get 1-2 more out of her with a longer run. Should be 75-76 light and lower air temps.

Im running a fury 24p 3 blade as Kelly recommended for this setup. He was dead on his speed prediction.
