    210 true speed

Can't seem to get a straight answer on this. How fast will a 210 run with a Merc 4 stroke or a Yamaha SHO? There should be a few out there now that can answer this question. I'm talking consistent top end running speed.

    Good question...

I talked w a guy at a local gas station who had a 210/250 pxs 2 stroke. He said his would run 68 to 69 w 2 guys, derby load, dry wells. I would say those numbers are very close to the norm.

One guy on fb said the 198s/210s both run 75. Maybe a hero pass, light load etc. Sure wish they would run 75 w a derby load, 2 guys.

I can see touching 70, I’m skeptical of 75. These rigs are awfully sensitive of bow weight and are heavy rigs.

Yes, I think high 60's is a real number. What's funny is why you can't get a straight answer. There should be a few of these on the water now. Guess the owners don't visit here very much.

I’m not sure there are many rigged with the 4 stroke, most I’ve seen have the 2 stroke.

That's an empty boat. No tackle or rods. No power poles. That's why I think a tx loaded boat will be high 60's at best.

This is with a 250 pro-xs 2 stroke so take it for what it is worth. Wife and I (120's and 170's) with pretty much full tank of gas, empty livewells, 2 10ft power poles and a full boat load of fishing crap= mid 60's pretty easy. Trying to wring it out I have seen 70 but most times it starts chine walking bad enough at 68 that I trim down and lose speed.
I need to learn how to drive the chine better. I am guessing if a person was good at driving the chine walk my boat would run 72 at best.
I have not run it without a ton of stuff in it. Add in another 200lb person for 3 people in the boat and it is 60-62 at best.

Our old 496 loaded the same would run 70-71 without any chine walk.

With all that said; we truly love our boat!

Edited to add; with our setup a 24 fury is a better prop choice than a 25 fury. Gets out of the hole faster and runs same speeds. The 25 wouldn't turn enough rpm's.

If they're anything like the original 210's which they appear they are, then they're a low 70's rig loaded ready to fish and handle the nastiest water you can put em in.

Well damn, 71-74 mph fully rigged would have to be 74-77 mph empty. If that’s true, then that’s pretty impressive.

I'd say that's about right. Most people are not going to run the perfect setup, so probably 68 to 73ish is probably where they'll be running I'd say.

I've seen 71, once. Normally 68-69, 2 people tournament loaded. I have noticed the chine walk is easier to control with both live wells full,, of water not fish.
    I got nothin

I have no idea on a Charger but my 1950# 921 with Sho 250 would run 74.5 with two people and gear. The boat had more I just was not able to get everything out of it. I am guessing 75-76 loaded. I should say my loaded is very light. I take 8-12 rods and enough gear for the day maybe 50# of gear and half a tank of fuel.
