ran fine with no problems. One day got to the lake and wouldn’t push above 1600 rpm, trys to die but once in idle it evens back out. Checked and replaced, fuels line, plugs, switch boxes, voltage regulators, set carbs and cleaned and rebuilt. Performed compression test today and had 115 psi across all cylinders. Not sure why it won’t work still. Idles great and runs in forward gear fine until you press the gas.

Not sure if symptoms are identical but one year our 88 200hp would not get on plane and it was the power pack.
check spark on all cyls/ test stator/electrical system on engine
