My gauges automatically backlight as well as my switches when I turn my main power on, is this normal? All of my other lighting switches are in the neutral or off position

they should turn red when on

Check your light switch at the bow. It can get bumped on pretty easily.

yep this ^^^exactly if the light is red on the panel usually the front nav switch is on
